I can’t believe I forgot about this! I made an attempt at a Mark Rothko inspired cake last year for my birthday. Tasty and artistic, check. The Chew last week featured Seton Rossini aka Pixel-Whisk with her Rothko Cookies which look adorable and delish. They also showed her succulent cupcakes. So creative it’s killing me. ( I’m not wooooorthy!!!!! )
Anyway, the cake was a pretty good first try, but if I had more time I would’ve evened up the layered sides. Still tasted good, with lemon, vanilla and blackberry layers with raspberry buttercream and marshmallow fondant.
